Airbnb titles are incredibly important. Their purpose is to grab a guest's attention and tell them what makes your place amazing. They should also be memorable, so guests can easily navigate back to your place when making comparisons. Think of an Airbnb listing title like a book title - you don't want to read something boring, and your guests don't want to stay somewhere boring.
Airbnb Title Do's
- Do list amenities you offer like a king bed, hot tub, sauna, mountain views, and/or walking distance to something popular in your area.
- Do use a fun name for your space like Blue Moon Cabin, or Shenandoah Gem!
- Do be mindful of the title 50 character limit and choose short words to share the most information about your space.
Airbnb Title Don'ts
- Do not use real estate terms like 2BR/2B/1200SF (which translates to 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 1,200 square feet.) Many guests have no idea what this means and it is the opposite of exciting and memorable
- Don't copy someone else's title! Imitation is not a form of flattery on Airbnb.
So now that you know what to do and not do as you craft a title, let's move onto some examples of great titles.
Shenandoah Gem ~ Sauna ~ Walk to River ~ King Bed
This title has a catchy name, lists two amenities, and that guests can walk to the river. *King beds are a huge amenity that many guests search for. We found this out several years after we starting investing, and now put one in at least one bedroom of our new Airbnbs.
Modern Mountaintop Retreat ~ Screened Porch
This title has a longer name, but the name conveys that the cabin is modern and on a mountaintop with the amenity of a screened porch.
